Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bat

The fifth match of the DLF Indian Premiere League (IPL) was played between Mumbai Indians and Bangalore Royal Challengers in Wankhede Stadium of Mumbai. The match was won by Bangalore Royal Challengers by 5 wickets.

The toss was won by Mumbai Indians and they decided to bat first. The skipper of Mumbai Indian Sachin Tendulkar was absent for this match due to groin injury, and due to this Harbhajan Singh lead the Mumbai Indian’s team. They made 165 runs in 20 overs. Uthappa was the highest scorer who made 48 along with 29 made by Jayasuriya. Pollock made 28 and Nayar made 20 runs.

Akhil and Zaheer Khan each took 2 wickets for Bangalore Royal Challengers. Praveen Kumar also took one wicket.

Replying to 165 of Mumbai Indians, Bangalore Royal Challengers made 166 runs in 19.4 Overs and won the match by 5 wickets. For Bangalore Royal Challengers Boucher made 39 runs, along with the skipper Dravid who made 32 runs.
